Summary: | The purpose of this study is to help reduce the time consumed for development. This will ease the time pressure for applications (especially Mobile applications like Android applications). this report indicates the a thoroughly process of the project, from the initial brainstorming to narrowing down on alternatives before giving the breakdown on the application constructs, followed by conclusions and recommendations that can be considered for future studies.
The project aims to allow developers to search and retrieve relevant codes from a database directory. As the project focuses on Android Applications, the scope has been narrowed to Java codes with Eclipse as the development platform.
There are many possible solutions and each can take many forms, from standalone to integrated and it goes all way to the presentation of the product. However, it was decided that an Eclipse plug-in would better fit the criteria and presenting via views would provide high mobility and less hassle. Thus, an Eclipse plug-in that searches the database based on a keyword is decided upon.
In conclusion, the product is able to meet the project objective although there are still rooms for improvements. |
