This paper examines numerous Indian and Pakistani counterinsurgency (COIN) campaigns to illustrate the reasons for India's higher success ratio in COIN as compared to the Pakistan. The study provides an analysis of why the Indian army has been able to successfully protect itself from horne grown terrorists while Pakistan is potentially heading into a civil war due to the growing insurgencies within its borders.
