Description
Summary:Microgrid is a small-scale integrated energy system encompassing a low-voltage distribution network with distributed energy resources (DER) such as wind turbines, solar photovoltaic and fuel cells. Traditionally, the controlling and monitoring of Microgrid is performed through wireline communication. The aim of the project is to develop a wireless communication network with Wi-Fi technology to communicate with DER for monitoring functions. Data collected by sensor in DER will be transmitted wirelessly and saved in a database. The performance of DER can be investigated through analysing the data collected by DER. The implementation of this wireless communication network allows user to collect data from DER in different places.
