This includes environment monitoring, equipment monitoring, medical purposes and others. The Emergence of ultra wide band impulse radio (UWB-IR) technology, counters this problem due to its various advantages. This advantage includes its low power consumption, low cost, immunity to multipath, low interference and high throughput. In this project, the integration of temperature sensor with the MSP430 module will be discussed, explained and tested. The configuration of the I2C module on the temperature sensor is explained in detail with the result achieved being reviewed. Design procedure and the specification of both the sensor and the MSP430 module will be discussed. Transmission of data using UWB-IR will be discussed in theory and the application as well as its advantages is recognized and studied for future implementation. For future work, UWB-IR technology to send data can be implemented. In addition, receiver can be configured to receive the data from the MSP430 module.
