Description
Summary:This report demonstrates the remarkable integration between technologies whereby, the Energy Management System for Building is created in LabView and fully integrated with the programmable Android program. Hence, the report will summarize the overall project accomplishment in the field of study, research and progress that has achieved within the project period. There has been significance increase in energy demand, with a mark of improvement in mankind and technology. Hence, urbanized nations, such as Singapore, Australia and other developed nations have found it a daily challenge to satisfy and regulate the ever-hungry energy-dependent society in a sustainable method. Therefore, to fulfil the challenges, while reducing any damaging environmental impact, there is an urgent need for an effective Energy Management System. Furthermore, with remarkable technological advancement, it has become easy for various technologies to be linked and integrated for a user-friendly experience. Therefore, the proposed user friendly Building Energy Management System (BEMS) integrates its features in a mobile environment such as an Android platform with the programmed Android application. Diverse web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox have been configured to be able to interact with an improved, security enhanced LabView web-based version of the EMS. Additionally, the integrated BEMS allow the users to be able to control their usage through the future implementations of improved features such as monitoring and computations of various energy parameters and load shedding according to individual priority setting of loads remotely. Hence, with the significance advancement in user-friendly interfaces integrated between EMS and the programmed Android application, it provides an entire new paradigm for remote monitoring and regulation of energy demand and consumption in a secured mobile environment.
