Description
Summary:In recent years, more and more electricity retailers are entering the electricity market as the Singapore government has deregulated the electricity market. It is aimed to strengthen the competition among electricity retailers, to lower the electricity prices and to promote incentives onto different types of customers. This project gives a full description of the MSc Application for Project ISM-DISS-00030 on 'Intelligent Trading/Metering/Billing System: Network'. It describes the network communication and related protocols utilized in the Intelligent Trading/Metering/Billing System (ITMBS), trying to provide a solution that meets the requirements of the new deregulated power market environment. In the project, a database for the ITMBS is created, and a web portal for different types of users to operate with registered appliances, to inquire about real-time pricing status and to control loads is constructed. Then, the core section which describes the methods of acquiring data information from meters with different communication protocols and from other resources is elaborated, and at last the influence on load profile in residential ranged areas is discussed.
