Description
Summary:In this thesis, a comprehensive study on channel modelling and characterization in maritime environment for military applications such as surveillance and remote unmanned operation is investigated. The application of sea-to-land communication systems mounted on the unmanned surface vehicles requires knowledge of radio wave propagation in maritime environment at 5 GHz band. In this research work, a series of sea trials were carried out in different scenarios of maritime environment to investigate the radio wave propagation through sea-to-land paths.
