We have also highlighted the problems encountered in the various existing development zones which were attributed mainly to the unstructured planning of the development zones . As the "software" transfer from the Jurong Town Corporation experience involves structured planning and management, the Singapore-Suzhou Industrial Township may be able to avoid the problems faced by the existing development zones. In conclusion, the interest and enthusiasm manifaceted by both governments as well as numerous investors reflect an optimistic future outlook for the Township model to become the emerging style of economic development in China.
