Summary:Six metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) NTU-Z8, NTU-Z9, NTU-Z10, NTU-Z11, NTU-Z12, NTU-Z13 were synthesized using three surfactants (Octanoic acid, PEG-400, and hexadecyltributylphosphonium bromide) as reaction media. Different secondary building units (SBUs) are generated and showed effects on directing crystals’ growth. The results suggest that surfactant-thermal method can offer fantastic opportunities for synthesizing MOFs.
