Therefore, I have chosen to study a group of Indonesian students to examine firstly how the Singapore education, with the Global Schoolhouse initiative, has been established to attract the brightest minds around the world. Secondly, adopting the definition of social integration as gaining access to desirable resources in society, I aimed to find out whether the Indonesian students have integrated in Singapore. And finally, I investigated how transnational living affected the students’ sense of identity and future prospects.
