Over the years, however, as employee aspirations advanced to a higher level, employee benefits have gained greater prominence in attracting, retaining and motivating employees. This is especially so in Singapore in fight of the tight labour market situation. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the economic factors that affect fringe benefits.
