Much publications and journals have been written on the planning stage on policy making in the 112000 policy. ( NCB. 1992: NCB. 1995: Markus et al. 1993 etc.) However, very few studies have been done on the implementation of IT2000 to date. The main objective of this research project is to provide a comprehensive description and evaluation of the IT2000 implementation made in 1995 and 1996. Other objectives include identifying the factors that affect the progression of IT implementation in various sectors listed by the NCB as well as to suggest some recommendations for policy makers and implementers.
