This project will be focusing on developing an Android tablets application – Esperanza; for the healthcare centers in Singapore to adopt. This application will help the caregivers to track the condition of the patients via games. These games are developed based on 5 different cognitive functions: memory, speed, flexibility, attention and problem-solving. This application is divided into different parts: the backend system which handles all the data, the games played by the patients and the data analysis according to the scores. Data analysis is not implemented yet in this application. There are currently 2 games developed by other students in the application, with plans to work on more as the project progresses. The overall structure of the application achieved such modularity that has allowed game developers to develop games separately. This is very important to the project as the project is split into different game developers and a system developer. As such, this project focuses a lot on the application architecture.
