Description
Summary:In recent times, the importance of human-computer interaction is increasing. Users now prefer more interactive and realistic interaction between them and computers. Visual speech animation makes human-computer interaction more realistic. The ability to develop an application that has the ability to mimic human speech will be beneficial in areas such as entertainment, online chatting with personalized avatars and for people with hearing disabilities. This paper focuses specifically on lip synchronization using images. The Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine used in this project is Microsoft Speech SDK. The application developed is able to receive text data and animate the model’s mouth accordingly in real time. Due to the timeframe of this project, the animation is based on image manipulation and the user input is text based.
