Time-lapse photography is a technique whereby the frequency at which image frames are captured is much lower than that used to view the sequence.
This project aims to develop a web application to provide remote control capabilities for user to adjust the camera’s angle as well as zoom in and zoom out while capturing time-lapse.
Raspberry Pi is used to control the movement of slider via web application. It communicates with Arduino over serial commands. Arduino is used to control Pan and Tilt Head and servo motor through PWM pins.
At the end of this project, an integrated solution to automate time-lapse photography is developed. A fully functional web application provides various functions such as choosing different slider profile, starting point, and ending angle. Moreover, the limitations and recommendations for future work have been expressed in the end chapter of this report. |
