This means that every 4 seconds, there is someone in the world diagnosed with dementia [1]. With such a rapid increasing number of Dementia patients, there is a high demand to carry out research to study on Dementia and find ways to save their life. The project aims to implement a visualization tool to aid researchers to study the travel patterns. As this is a continuation project, the basic functionalities of the tool were already implemented. However, it is still very limited in the number of features the program can do. The purpose of this project is to continue the unfinished work and further enhance the tool. The project investigates the existing tool that is already available for research on area of improvement for the project. The tool must not be too complex for researchers to use as they are not IT-savvy. Researchers can use the tool to visualize a person’s travel pattern from data readings of the sensors. Data reading from the sensors are extracted into digitalized file format. The tool will read these files and animate the data in visual format. By viewing the animation, researchers can observe the behaviour pattern of the elderly and conduct their finding. One major feature implemented in this project is the handling of different datasets. The development and features of the tool will be further explained in this report. In conclusion, more enhancement and features are to be added for the tool to be more useful. One important enhancement is to integrate the pattern analysis algorithm provided by NTU to the tool. By continuously enhancing the tool, it greatly helps the researchers to their study in this field. There are 7.7 million new cases of dementia each year.
