Smartphones have become one of the most important necessities in one’s everyday life where it changes the way we live and how we are connected with people. Business companies have also started to market their products through mobile application to reach out to potential consumers around the globe. The objective of this project is to develop an E-commerce Product Search Engine Android application called VISEBUY that provides a platform for users to search their desired products through text-based or image-based search. It also allows users to add their desired products into the shopping cart or favourites list as well as sharing products through social media sites. More advanced search such as integration of text-based and image-based search methods were included, giving users more flexibility in terms of search methods. The search results can be narrowed down by filtering through gender, price and brand of the products. The user interface of the application provides users with ease of use, good performance and being minimalistic in mind. This allows users to navigate the application easily, and having the information to be displayed without any clutter. The application is successfully implemented in Android platform with the functionalities as stated. By connecting with the backend server to request for data, it helps to perform the application successfully, giving users a better experience in using the application.
