Summary: | Tourism industry has been booming since the past decades. People around the world are increasingly engaging in traveling activities due to the more affordable price of tourism. Countries around the world are also playing their part in promoting their tourism industry and generating tourism flow.
With this change in trend and the advancement in technology, people are increasingly used to sharing their story and experience on the internet. Thanks to the widespread existence of social networks, people can now share their story easily from their computer and smartphones. However, these social networks are not focused on any specific area of interest.
The Travel Trail aims to create a unique platform leveraging on the social network style that provides tourist/travel enthusiasts with the ability to create their own collections of travel journals. They can share their experience, find out about other people’s travel experience, and even search for specific travel journals/travel guides that are nearby a location that can potentially help them plan their future travels.
With the help of Android smartphone location sensors, The Travel Trail will give users an enjoyable and fruitful experience in managing their collection, researching certain places of interest, finding travel guides, and providing recommendations to travel journals that caught their attentions.
Built with usability and user experience in mind, The Travel Trail Android application (Tcube) aims to provide the highest quality of service and functionality to its users. |
