Description
Summary:In the recent years, 3D movies and games have become more popular due to the rise in demand for 3D content. With the advancement in technology, it is now significantly cheaper to adopt system which support the display of stereoscopic content. Despite so, the cost of setting up stereoscopic system for home use is still relatively expensive. These system would normally require viewers to wear special glasses which might be uncomfortable. To lower the cost and to eliminate the need of glasses for viewing of stereoscopic content, auto stereoscopic technology such as parallax barrier is a viable alternative. This project aims to make use of parallax barrier for converting an existing 2D monitor into one that is able to display stereoscopic content (3D) without incurring much cost and to also manipulate the audience’s 3D experience.
