Summary: | Cocoon is a projection mapping project aimed at creating modular projection surfaces. These surfaces are designed to allow for customizable sets intended for audio-visual performances. Cocoon is the physical culmination of a 3-year long endeavour in creating analog video art using the laws of ferromagnetism, fluid dynamics and photography. It focuses on creating interchangeable environments for visual artists such as myself, & musicians to perform in small to medium sized spaces, and then using methods learnt in visual creation to meld both worlds together.
This project will see the final prototype applied in an actual performance environment, showcasing the several configurations and possibilities that the modular design can offer to stage set up. |
