MiMO is a 1 minute 25 seconds 2D traditional animation. Inspired by Joan Miró paintings’ lines and colors, MiMO is an abstract piece that explores the art of motion. It is a duo animation partnership together with Oon Qian Yi Shannon. Our concept is the cycle of life. Through metamorphosis of our characters, MiMO, the animation shows how characters and environments mutually affect and interact with one another. I am in charge of all the colours, applying them using pastel chalks while lineworks and inkings are handled using a brush pen in black by Shannon. At the same time, both of us worked on the animation part of this project together.
