The objectives of this report includes investigating existing access schemes for heterogeneous networks, analysing the performance of multiple access schemes with adaptive guard interval, and to propose methods for dynamic guard interval adaptation in frequency selective channels. The primary access scheme that the author has focused on is Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). description |
The purpose of this report is to document the research work the author has carried out for his final year project.
The author has implemented a basic OFDM system simulation on Matlab with three different guard interval techniques. The techniques are zero padding, cyclic prefix, and cyclic prefix with postfix.
The BER performance of the different techniques are plotted and compared.
Results shown that cyclic prefix has the best performance and zero padding has the worst performance. |
