Summary: | The frequency reconfigurable metamaterial antennas are proposed and studied using
microstrip-line and CPW feeds and the results are compared. The metamaterial
properties are imparted into the antennas with the help of Interdigital Capacitors
(IDC) and Split Ring Resonators (SRR). The antennas are designed using Computer
Simulation Technology (CST) and the fabrication is carried out on a low cost FR4
substrate of 1.59mm thickness. The antennas are compact sized with dimensions of
30mm x 25mm and hence, are expected to support a wide range of applications. |
