Ballistic penetration on body armour is relatively new in the industry. There were several features on the experiment that have to be taken care of due to the various requirements throughout the experiment. Throughout the development of this methodology, there is a need to take care of various sections prior to the testing, from the construction of projectile, to the construction of sabot and pusher, to the construction of backing fixture. Every aspect has to be carefully taken care off be it the materials selection or the dimensions or even the concepts behind it. Once these necessary preparations are done, the setting of various test standard and the experimental criteria are crucial. In this test, it took references from NIJ Test Standards and it revolves around the concepts of depth-of-penetration, velocity of projectile, mass of projectile and the sample body armour.
