Description
Summary:Chiller cycle system is widely used in the LDDS and it is important for the LDDS performance under varying operating conditions. The three main parameters to be discussed in the report are refrigerant compressor, electronic expansion valve and condenser unit performances. The objective would be to find the combination that achieves the highest efficiency of chiller cycle system. The performance of the chiller cycle system is evaluated through the heat transfer rate. Performance of chiller cycle system can be improved by increasing refrigerant flow rate or having a larger load enthalpy change provided the enthalpy change is within stability range. The highest heat transfer rate in the LDDS system can be achieved when refrigerant compressor operates in 0.6-0.8 PLR, condenser unit in off condition and electronic expansion valve operates at 70% opening rate. Experimental results provide high heat transfer performance and LDDS achieve highest energy saving.
