Description
Summary:This dissertation describes the pulse sensing technique by piezoelectric film (polyvinyldene fluoride PVDF) for noninvasive continuous detection of arterial pulse wave in human wrist above the radial artery. This development was based on the piezoelectric charge generated by the piezo films under the tension and compression of the arterials' pulsation effect of the circulation system. The main objective of the study is replacement of PVDF sensor instead of ceramic piezo materials used in conventional tonometry for pulse wave sensing.
