Description
Summary:Technology advancement spurned improvement in education methodology. The ability to be adaptive to the changes in technology is crucial for software. This report represents the improvement to the existing E-Learning system in NTU. This project is to help to establish an E-Learning system that will entice students to learn. The system is designed by the author to breakdown lengthy video lectures into short video lectures to enable the students to remain concentrated during learning. In order to assist the student in converting all the information that they have obtained during the video lectures into long-term memory, the system required students to take a short quiz before and after their video lectures. This type of short quiz is designed to help the student to enhance their concept so as to convert it into a long-term memory. In order to cater for students that required On The Go feature, the system is developed to be mobile compatible. Therefore students are able to view any video lectures on their smart devices via any internet browser. In order to enable students to be able to view the video lecture at lightning speed, the video lectures are hosted by YouTube. Besides designing the system to cater for the student’s population, an extra feature is included in the system. The extra feature is the integration of “Google Hangout” app. Google Hangout is integrated into the system to enable lecturers to be able to conduct live video tutorial with his students. Having this feature will help to assist the lecturers in conducting remote tutorial or makeup tutorial or when the lecturers is too busy. More detailed explanation will be done in later chapters.
