A study on a newly built single-effect absorption refrigeration cycle using a novel working fluid pair with R-134a as the refrigerant and ionic liquid [BMIM][BF4] as the absorbent is reported here. The report focuses mainly on understanding the working principle, installation and starting up of the absorption refrigeration system.
