Summary: | Nowadays there are many ways to treat attention related psychological disorder, such as meditation and behavioral therapies. It is proven that either way is very effective to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and improve human brain attention level. Although there are existing EEG-based neurofeedback games to train brain attention, they are lack of fun factors and still has can be improved further more.
In this project, knowledge of human brain attention and its related psychological disorder were reviewed. Inspired by the existing psychological therapies in treating ADHD, a multi-level 3D first person shooting game named “Sharp Shooter” was proposed and designed. The game was developed based on UDK game engine, Adobe Flash, 3D max and Unreal Scripts. It is also integrated with EEG signal recognition devices, and the player‟s attention level can be detected and input into the stage to change the target status, by doing so the player was forced to concentrate to complete game tasks. To make sure the game is efficient to improve human attention level, the game is designed in multiple level in order to train the patients for consecutive three or more than three weeks. |
