Scientists also put great emphasis on the research of lithium ion battery because of its wide application in various fields. This report aims to give a clear vision of the application of lithium ion battery, especially in ship application. Methods: Considering the lack of experimental equipments, simplified heating energy calculation is the main method to reflect the rise temperature of lithium ion battery through its working process. Results: We can see from the calculation data that the results of rising temperature of 1000mAh LIB are quite high so that the shortcoming of the lithium ion battery is still noteworthy. The high rise of temperature 1000mAh LIB shows that the side effect of the lithium ion battery through its running time. Conclusion: Lithium ion battery is an ideal energy in the development of the present age because of its high working voltage, small volume, light quality, high energy, no memory effect, no pollution, low self-discharge, long cycle life. Although it still has some shortcomings especially the rise of temperature which is a risk of its application. The solution method and model of prevention from this shortcoming will be worked out in my future work.
