This report focuses on Home Energy Management System development. The communication between the Smart Meter and end devices is the main discussion topic of this report. The ZigBee Smart Energy Profile is the communication protocol used while the communication module used is the ConnectPort X2e for Smart Energy from the Digi International Company. Besides, load control on Energy Web Portal and ideas on building a Smart HEMS, including flow charts of each control process, are also part of this report. As a summary, the main motivation of this report is to share the concept on building a communication between meter and devices, load control design on Web Portal and ideas on building a Smart HEMS.
