The LIBSVM library is learned and applied to classifier different characters. Author prepared the datasets and followed sequential steps in LIBSVM to train and test Japanese characters. Finally, different Japanese characters can be identified correctly with accuracy of 92%. Recommendations for the project are given in the end for future research purpose. During the project implementation, Author practiced programming skills and improved analytical and problem solving skills.
