Description
Summary:This report brings up to date the thermal analysis of the X-sat an experimental micro satellite project undertaken by collaborators mainly in Singapore. It includes the most recent temperature data which is used to present the temperature trends of the various subsystems clearly. Using this information, the author is able to determine the thermal health of the X-sat and draw inferences useful for the thermal design of the next project. Included in this report is a comprehensive literature review of the conditions the X-sat faces in space as well as the thermal control methods used in the X-sat. With this knowledge, the temperature profiles of the components can be explained and understood better. In addition, this report includes an efficient method to extract and present the thermal data from the downloaded database.
