Requirements are drafted by an officials (and experts) and Standards are degrees of quality that are set to be deemed acceptable or not. One has to pass an examination or course in order to be certified or qualified. Welding is an important engineering process whereby two materials are joined together. A welding process consists of numerous variables. Hence the process of qualifying a welder is very complicated. The International Standard Organisation (ISO) is accountable to set standards and requirements for personnel to meet in order to be a qualified welder. ISO 9606-1 is introduced in 2012 to tackle the problems of qualifying a welder. ISO 9606-1 provides parameters, standards, guidelines and parameters to follow globally. In order to simplify and reduce the complications of managing the welder qualification process, an application is developed for the user or the examiner. This application helps the user or examiner to conduct and qualify welder by inputting required parameters and in turn, producing the Ranges of Qualification. This allows for the information to be placed nicely for easy reference.
