Description
Summary:Augmented Reality (AR) has become an interesting area of research, after the birth of Virtual Reality. With the help of digital content and virtually built elements, AR allows users to experience and interpret the reality around them in different and impressive ways. The project is to build up an interactive AR application which discovers the way of experience of users in interpreting the visual world when it is affected and changed by the audio signal coming from the music played by Smartphone's media player or its audio recorder. The project considers many different ways of visually distorting the look and feel of users responding to the music. It includes creating a virtual 3D world view, with the Smartphone as the virtual camera and also the window into that world, and the models and elements of the world view react to the audio signal. The project also takes the opportunity to look into the area of image processing, changing the camera preview from the Smartphone's camera and making the way of users' viewing the world through the camera to be different and exciting. The project additionally deals with the performance and quality issues from each of the options mentioned above. It also combines them using layer-over-layer structure, experimenting all of the possibilities to receive the best experience for users.
