Summary: | The continuous development of electronic technology promote the development of a variety of electronic products to be miniaturization, such as a portable phone, micro cameras, laptops, etc. Lithium ion battery plays an significant way in the development of the science. But there is a big problem that how to ensure the safety of the batteries, which concern the personal security and the safety of property.
In this report, the basic knowledge such as the principle of the lithium ion battery and the materials that used in the lithium ion batteries are introduced. Furthermore, many researches about the lithium ion battery are pointed.
In chapter 1, the principle and the charging characters are introduced. The lithium ion battery is actually a lithium ion concentration cell, positive and negative electrode is composed of two different embedded lithium ion compound. Lithium ion batteries are usually adopt the charging mode of constant circulation transfer to constant voltage.
In chapter 2, different materials are introduced, which include the cathode material, anode material and the electrolytes. Lithium ion batteries are generally use lithium metallic oxide as cathode material, graphite as the anode material, and using nonaqueous electrolyte battery. Materials that have actual used as anode materials for lithium ion batteries are basically carbon materials, such as artificial graphite, natural graphite, carbon mesophase microsphere resin, petroleum coke, carbon fiber, pyrolysis carbon, etc. The cathode materials contain cobalt acid lithium, nickel, manganese acid lithium, three raw materials, lithium iron phosphate, etc. The electrolytes contain non-aqueous liquid electrolyte, solid electrolyte, gel polymer electrolyte and microporous polymer electrolyte, etc.
In chapter 3, the security of the lithium ion battery is introduced. What is the safety problem, how to improve the security risk and what is the method we use are visible in this chapter.
Conclusions and future works are given at the end. It shows what is we can research on in the late time. |
