Preliminary study of the fragility curves for reinforced concrete interior beam-column joints
For this project, the author is mostly interested in performing fragility analysis on non-ductile reinforced concrete frames, in which two types of beam-column joints are cooperated, namely rigid and soft joints. By applying selected and scaled ground motions, in total there are 900 available, on...

By applying selected and scaled ground motions, in total there are 900 available, on building models, adequate data is generated to assess the relationship between ground motion intensities and structural responses, as well as the probability of exceeding predefined damage states. At the ending part of the study, this project aims to derive fragility curves to identify the different behaviors of these two types of structures under seismic loadings. For this project, the author is mostly interested in performing fragility analysis on non-ductile reinforced concrete frames, in which two types of beam-column joints are cooperated, namely
rigid and soft joints.
Lastly, this project hopes to provide valuable information of structural vulnerability to facilitate the design and construction of low-rise and mid-rise buildings in Singapore. |
