Thousands of new immigrants come to this city, as a result, bus services problem has gained increasing attention as more and more people choose bus to travel around the city instead of private cars, since the cost of COE (Certificate of Entitlement) has kept increasing and the rising concerns of environmental issues as well. So the question how to satisfy passenger demands has become one of the most popular concerns in the transportation engineering. Along with the problem is to maintain certain level of economic surplus for the bus operating companies. In this project, we will analyse and discover a way to improve field survey and data collection has been done to give an overview of the bus supply and demand of 179 and 179A.Based on the data collected, the bus limited-stop services has been introduced to maximise the efficiency of bus services with using the utility formula. The concern of this project is to find the balance of bus service and company profit to develop the quality of Singapore bus service environment and also benefit the bus company.
