Summary: | Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) are being widely used in military organizations around the world, making them one of the remarkable key aspects of current military technologies. SAR is used to capture high resolution images as well as moving target detection under various weather conditions.
Nanyang Technological University is conducting a research topic of a SAR to operate in an UAV, which will be investigated from system perspective, as well as the key technical parameters and effects will be studied.
This project will be covering on producing a super high frequency (SHF) output of 11.82GHz, which is needed for initial part of SAR. Various components are used, namely KC705 Evaluation Board for Kintex-7 FPGA, Arduino Mega 2560 and HMC-783 Phase Lock Loop (PLL) Board.
This report will focus mainly on KC705 Evaluation Board using SPI programming and how it is integrated with the other boards to produce the desired output frequency. |
