Summary:With a larger consumption of the energy in daily life and the rising energy costs of household in Singapore, how to manage the electricity consumption within the household efficiently has become an important subject. The author’s Final Year Project is about the Development of a Home Energy Management System for Demand Side Management. The main purpose of this Final Year Project is to empower households with the capabilities to monitor and manage their energy consumption in daily life easily and thus helping to reduce the energy consumption and electrical bills. This report will detail the development of a HEMS prototype model, and the integration of different devices used in HEMS.
