The aim of the project is to design an online Mathematics assessment system which follows the Primary School Mathematics syllabus set by the Ministry of Education. This project system must be highly flexible and have the capability to generate infinite questions. Questions from assessment books are modeled into templates and these templates are used by the system to generate questions. New functions were also implemented to further improve the project system. The new function includes the validation of templates before adding them into the database, editing of question/answer templates separately and providing statistic reports for the students. As the world is shifting towards digital platforms, it is not surprising to see traditional
assessment books going digital.
The aim of the project is to design an online Mathematics assessment system which follows the
Primary School Mathematics syllabus set by the Ministry of Education. This project system must
be highly flexible and have the capability to generate infinite questions. Questions from
assessment books are modeled into templates and these templates are used by the system to
generate questions.
New functions were also implemented to further improve the project system. The new function
includes the validation of templates before adding them into the database, editing of
question/answer templates separately and providing statistic reports for the students.
The author has conducted an evaluation of the current project system and it has shown that the
system is capable of generating huge amount of unique questions, but in the process the author
has also identified a flaw in the system if the system were to be used by the public.
In the conclusion of this report, the author will give a conclusion of the project system and some
recommendations to further improve the system. |
