Summary: | In today’s Information technology age, robots are used in almost all kinds of industries
including manufacturing, medical, transport, industrial and even educational purposes.
As technology progresses every moment, an increasing amount of manual and high-risk
jobs requiring humans have been replaced by their robotic counterparts. For example,
wielding in furnaces nowadays are mainly performed by robots as it requires working in
a high temperature and pressure environment that could possibly be fatal for human
workers.
Most jobs involving any form of physical labor and repetitive work without a need for
human interaction, emotions or judgment have already been replaced by robots in place
of human workers. As technology progresses, I believe that more and more processes
can be computerized and robots will definitely be integrated into our life. This report is
focused on the development and building of a patrol robot to be used in important
military installations, an example of how robotics can help improve our lives. |
