There have been many websites and applications with a search engine to search for food locations in Singapore. However, there is no single platform that allows users to easily sort their search results based on price range. The market was studied and it has been found that there is a gap in the supply of quality food searching websites, given the high demand in such services. In addition, due to the increasing pervasiveness of social media platforms amongst Singaporeans, it is imperative to be able to harness the various popular social media platform’s benefits into the development of a food search engine. With a social media integrated web-based food search engine, people are able to better search for food locations in Singapore while being in touch with friends through social media networking capabilities. In this project, the website was built on Content Management System, Joomla!3, through the use of web programming language which includes PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
