This paper discusses on the implementation of using solar as one of the natural energy to develop a charging system for electric vehicle. Due to the rising cost of fossil fuels, users have been looking into option of electric vehicle as their alternative mean of transport.
Though electric charging system is readily available wide in the market, however using natural energy as a mean of source to charge vehicle has not been widely available.
Therefore this report proposes a way on how to use solar energy and grid energy to charge the vehicle. A microcontroller with functions able to control the switching of charging mode is use for the entire development of this project.
Beside hardware components, the software of the project do plays a part in contributing the whole prototype to work as a whole. Therefore Arduino based platform codes and algorithms were implemented to create the success of the prototype charging system.
In conclusion, the user using natural energy to charge their vehicle will have the benefits of not paying more for than using grid source to charge their vehicle |
