Description
Summary:Currently, noise barriers have been built and set up along high noise environment and places. This passive form of noise cancellation techniques or devices although functioning has raised questions on their practicality, level of effectiveness, cost, size and lighting issues. In this thesis, we study the alternative method in inducing noise cancellation through the usage of an active system called the Active Noise Control (ANC). We will gain familiarity with the ANC system, understanding the basic concepts, look at the various ANC challenges and study the effects happening to the ANC system in the presence of modification done to it. A new basic ANC system based on the modular NI hardware and software environment will then be design implemented and tested. This NI platform based system can be served as a basic building block for rapid prototyping of the HDB window ANC system. Finally we will conclude on the results and findings; and recommend solutions and alternatives to the current thesis work done.
