Description
Summary:For many years, conventional methods of lab procedures and histological analysis are typically employed in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. However there are limitations to the current lab procedures which will be discussed such as limited testing of different combinations, high cost incurred due to large amounts of reagents and cell mediums used, time and resource-intensive procedures and error- prone experiments. The need to provide a high throughput microfluidic platform in order to assist in histological development and analysis in cell culture will help to counter the above limitations. Having a high throughput microfluidic platform for a lab-on-chip device will not only prove to be both effective and efficient but it saves time and provide economic benefits in the long term.
