Description
Summary:The objective of this report is to give a reflective summary of the twenty-two weeks industrial attachment in Stiefel Jurong as a Quality Intern. The writing of this report forms an important part of my total practical training experience and rounds up a fulfilling internship journey. The first chapter contains a brief introduction of the company’s history, a broad description of my role as an intern in the Quality department and provides the scope of this report. Following which, in the next chapter, an overview of the relevant and major trainings such as Validation, Remediation and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) will be presented. Based on the trainings that I have undergone, I was able to carry out tasks and projects such as writing a Product Quality Review (PQR), preparing for the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) audit, undertaking the Torque Measurement Project and also engaging in the site exit activities. The report would be wrapped up with a conclusion and reflection of the eventful attachment in Stiefel Jurong. This internship in Stiefel Jurong is not an ordinary one. The skills that I have learned and the work experience would stay with me for a long time. Not only did my supervisors and mentors encourage me to initiate projects, ask questions, provide feedback, they engaged me as much as a full-time staff. Though there are times when the tasks and projects became complicated and challenging, the guidance I received and the opportunities I was given to creatively solve the problems made me feel like a valued member of the organization. In my humbled opinion, this is the best internship experience.
