| Summary: | This report presents my precious and commemorable internship experience in ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Singapore Manufacturing Procurement. My most impressive corporation culture is the top focus on operation safety and integrity. At no time and in no circumstances, safety is at the utmost priority. In addition, as an intern attached to Materials Team, I have assisted several Procurement Associates as well as Business Analyst in acquisition practice and market intelligence analysis. The 6-month Industrial Attachment has exposed myself to the dynamic commercial world. From basic operations in Purchase Orders (PO) and Outline Agreements (OA), to tender negotiation and contracts initiation process, I was able to appreciate much about the Purchase-to-Payment (PtP) process. Meanwhile i have gaines a good insight on market trend pattern, and improved my communication and negotiation skills by interacting with suppliers and end-users. In all, i am very grateful to having this precious internship opportunity to explore the commercial world which is very much different from engineering courses in the university and to develop my teamwork capability as well as leadership skills. |
