Description
Summary:Wireless Body Sensor Network (WBSN) is a research area focusing on wearable sensor nodes being placed on a patient’s body to create a sensor network. Sensors can be used to gather data on patients, thus enabling monitoring of their body condition, without hindering their body functions .WBSN can be implemented in healthcare, personal physical wellness, professional sports training, rehabilitation and the military. This report focuses on the study of muscle fatigue using wireless wearable sensors. Currently, healthcare practitioners such as doctors and EMG technologists have to perform EMG measurement in medical facilities. Wearable sensors is more technological superior and convenient than traditional EMG sensors, as the patient’s body condition can be monitored in real time, without having the medical personnel to be physically there constantly. The medical personnel can obtained the acquired data instantly, and explain the results displayed on a PC, to the monitored patient.
