Description
Summary:For decades, we have struggled to represent some real life events in computer with limited input devices, like 3D modelling and virtual reality, which will be much easier if the computer can interpret human body language. In this recent decade, innovations in Natural User Interface (NUI) devices have created significant progress in such a direction. Leap Motion Controller, launched 2 years ago, is one of such leading consumer devices. It is able to interpret hand-gestures and allows the user to control the system with hand motions in air. This project aims to explore and evaluate the capability and limitations of Leap Motion Controller and hence develop a gesture-based interaction system with the advantages of the device. An e-book reader is selected to illustrate the potential of the Leap Motion Controller.
